Why did you start Taekwon-Do?
I believe that Taekwon-Do has great potential, in terms of fitness, personal growth, achieving goals etc. Moreover, the Tenets;
Courtesy, Integrity et al, make for a healthy life plan.
What’s your favourite part of class?
I particularly like learning new patterns, and enjoy watching the higher grades perform the more intricate sequences.
What advice would you give to someone starting Taekwon-Do?
I would say, Perseverance is key. Enjoy each stage/grade, and recognise that the basic movements are all relevant to
the bigger picture, or ultimate goal.
What would you like to achieve here at Nuneaton TKD?
To be the best I can be. To this end, I am willing to put in the hours of training, study, whatever it takes.
When you’re not training, what do you like to do?
I have a huge collection of 1940s/50s Film Noir, that I watch at weekends. Also the occasional engagements
acting in Theatre and film.
In his spare time Chris acts in the Theatre and in film under the stage name Lee Howard.
We asked him to us more about his recent roles:
Last year, I had a small role (Guard to the Norwegian Lord) in a screened version of Macbeth. An updated version, filmed on a housing estate in Northampton. (Screen Northants)

Also, 2 weeks ago I played a Painter in a web series called On the Tools. A spoof mockumentary set on a building site, in which tape measures go missing. The above was filmed in Tamworth (Middleton Farm). I had about 3 lines. However, received payment + expenses +credit.
