July 2026 Black Belt Promotions
Nuneaton Taekwon‑Do is pleased to announce the successful promotion of four students to Black Belt following the 12th July 2026 BTF Black Belt grading at Higham Lane North Academy.
After an intensive assessment covering technical fundamentals, patterns, step sparring, free sparring and theory, all candidates demonstrated the required standard for promotion in front of the grading panel.
The following promotions were awarded:
- Detelin Dimitrov – III Dan
- Petrina Lancaster – II Dan
- Leah Basey – II Dan
- Maryam Mirza – I Dan
These promotions reflect a sustained period of preparation, consistent attendance and a high level of commitment to training. Each student has shown resilience, discipline and a willingness to take on feedback, contributing positively to the culture of the club and setting a strong example for their peers.
We are especially pleased to see this group represent a range of ages, experiences and personal journeys, showing that Black Belt is achievable for anyone who is willing to commit and stay the course. Their success will no doubt inspire our junior and senior students alike to set long‑term goals and aim for their own Dan grades in future.
Nuneaton Taekwon‑Do extends its congratulations to Detelin, Petrina, Leah and Maryam on this achievement and looks forward to their continued contribution to the dojang.
