Here at Nuneaton Taekwon-Do we're firm believers that Taekwon-Do is for everybody, regardless of age or ability. A club is nothing without it's members and every month we'll be introducing you to one of our students.

Our Student Spotlight for March 2019 is Emily, a 9th kup who trains in our Friday night Children's class:

Started Taekwon-Do: 2018
From: Nuneaton, Warwickshire


Why did you start Taekwon-Do?
For Self-Defence.

What's your favourite exercise?
Burpees.

Who has inspired you the most?
Natalie and Danielle.

What do you want to do when you grow up?
I want to be a nurse like my mum.

What do you like to do outside of Taekwon-Do?
School and Crafts.


Emily recently took part in her first Taekwon-Do competiton at the BTF Junior & Veteran Championships in February. She competed in the pre-TKD event and took part in Patterns with Saju Jirugi (4-directional punch), Dragon's Tail Sparring and the Power Pad event.

We were really impressed with how she conducted herself and the performance she gave.
