Here at Nuneaton Taekwon-Do we're firm believers that Taekwon-Do is for everybody, regardless of age or ability. A club is nothing without it's members and every month we'll be introducing you to one of our students.

First up for 2019 is George, a 1st kup who trains in our Friday night classes:

From: Burbage, Leicestershire


Why did you start Taekwon-Do?
I started at a young age and built confidence and fitness.

What's your favourite part of training?
My favourite part of training is either breaking or self defence.

What has surprised you most about Taekwon-Do?
That it is multi-faceted and that you can apply it to all parts of your life.

What are you looking forward to doing in the future?
I am most looking forward to doing my black grading in the future.

What advice would you give to someone starting Taekwon-Do?
The piece of advice I'd give to someone starting Taekwon-Do is the amount of effort you put in is the amount of reward you get out of it.

Team Nuneaton TKD Colour belts at the 2026 UKTA English

EmpowHER returns on Wednesday 4th March with a refreshed 8-week ladies-only martial arts–inspired fitness course at Nuneaton Taekwon-Do, including a free pair of boxing gloves for all participants.
