Miss Natalie Williams attends the ITC with Grandmaster Hwang Ho Yong in Cyprus
The winter sun attracts many British tourists to the coastal city of Paphos, Cyprus. Paphos city is rich with world history and culture and on January 18th and 19th, it was host to an International Technical Seminar conducted by Grand Master Hwang Ho Yong IX, head of the ITF Technical and Educational committee. The seminar was attended by Taekwon-Do instructors and masters from England, Wales, Cyprus, Greece, Czechia and Nuneaton Taekwon-Do instructor Miss Natalie Williams IV.
International Technical Seminars
are an opportunity for students of Taekwon-Do to ask questions, learn and develop techniques over two days of intensive training. The seminar covered all 24 tul (patterns) with in depth tuition of the individual techniques and their real life application in self defence. This was followed by instruction on correct procedure
and practice of sambo (3), ibo (2) and ilbo (1) step sparring
against partners.
As always, international seminars are also an opportunity to enjoy the culture and history of the host city and it is hard to resist the fantastic excursions that Cyprus has to offer despite the weather not always holding up.
Having brought so much back, Miss Williams is now eager to share the learning she has gained with other students at Nuneaton TKD.
