Nuneaton TKD takes on the Park Run

Well done to all from NuneatonTKD who took part or supported us on Saturday 28th January at our first Bedworth Park Run; it was great to see you all outside of the dojang.

For some this was your first time running 5km and for many of you, your first Park Run. You all smashed it and finished with a smile.

The 5 km course is 3 laps with a few hills so it is tempting to stop after 1 or 2 laps as you run pass the start/finish. However, everyone demonstrated their perseverance and indomitable spirit with all completing the full course in 45 minutes or less.

Our younger juniors members, Felix, Ayaan, Sufyaan took it in their stride supporting each other around the course and managed a sprint finish to pip Miss Danielle Williams over the line. Ava, Adrian and Rachel were chasing the heels of Oliver and Lucas who completed the course in a fantastic time of 37 mins nearly catching Datch and Mr Frisby who ran it in 35 mins.

However, our fastest member today was Ryan who completed the course in an amazing 27 mins, so one to beat next time.

It was great to see the mums and dads taking on the challenge too, Adrian, Nathalie, Rachel C-K, Rachel B, Neil and Ashley.

Thank you to all those who supported us (The Holts + Darius & mum) and to Robert and the Angel the cat for looking after our coats and bags.

Our next Nuneaton TKD Park Run is scheduled for Saturday 25th Feb but if you want to get some extra training in to work on improving your time, Mr Frisby and Ms Petrina Lancaster will be there next week.
