End of Year Awards (2022)

Danielle Williams • January 19, 2023

Congratulations to our 2022 club award winners!

Every year we highlight those students that best exemplify the tenets of Taekwon-Do and are an asset to the club.

It was hard to choose which students to spotlight this year as everyone has worked so hard.

Senior Student of the Year

Datch Nayager

Datch has had a great year at the club having trained 3x a week all year round resulting in consistent improvement and progress in all areas of his Taekwon-Do.  Not only has he supported every event, he's achieved plenty of medals () and in his last grading to 5th Gup, he achieved the highest mark on the day. Definitely one to watch for the future!

Junior Student of the Year

Felix Mordzanowski

Felix was one of our very first students at Nuneaton TKD having joined us in our very first class in September 2018! Over the past 4.5 years he's trained consistently several times a week and supports the club at all of our tournaments and events. Always happy to help others and he always comes to class smiling.

Child Student of the Year

Ayaan Ghivalla

Ayaan joined us this year on our Children's syllabus and has developed even better technique than some of the adults! He is one of our hardest working students and achieved the highest mark of all our under 10 students at his last grading.

Most Improved Student

Lilly Price

It was a hard choice choosing our Most Improved student this year but Lilly absolutely deserves it. Both her and brother Jake have come on massively in the last 12 months and we've seen huge improvements in both their Patterns and Sparring. A future blackbelt for sure.

Competitor of the Year

George Wright

Our Competitor of the Year award goes to the student who gave an outstanding performance in a competition during the year. We couldn't not give this to George after winning a Silver  in I Dan Patterns and a Bronze  in Sparring at his first European Championships. No doubt the first of many more to come.

Tenet Awards:

  •  Courtesy Award - Ava Clayton-Knight
  •  Integrity Award - Naisha Patel
  •  Perseverance Award - George Brooks
  •  Self Control Award - Theo Jones
  •  Indomitable Spirit Award - Jacob Paxton
