2019 Year of the Pig

We wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous year ahead!

The Pigis the 12th animal in the Chinese Zodiac. In Chinese legend the Jade Emperor is said to have organised a great race to decide which animals would guard theHeavenly Gate.

The quick thinking Rat was the first animal to cross the river to reach the Emperor followed by the diligent Ox . They became the first and second animals of the Zodiac.

The Tiger and Rabbit quickly followed. And then the Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster and Dog .

During the race the Pig had felt tired and so had stopped for food and to rest. When he finally crossed the river the Emperor awarded him the 12th year of the zodiac.

The Pig is associated with sleeping and laziness but also represent diligence, compassion, generosity and wealth!
