Instructor Miss Natalie Williams successfully grades to IV Dan in Vienna

On the 21st November, Nuneaton Taekwon-Do instructors Miss Danielle Williams and Miss Natalie Williams travelled to Vienna, Austria, to take part in the International Instructor's Course and International Technical Seminar conducted by Grandmaster Hwang Ho Yong IX, ITF Senior Vice President and President of the ITF Technical and Education Committee.
Hosted by Mr Dalibor Medic VI of the Austrian Taekwon-Do Federation, the Instructor's Course took place at ITF Headquarters on Friday 22nd and involved instruction on the qualities of a good instructor and correct ITF protocol with over 40 instructors, Masters and Grandmasters in attendance. Miss Natalie then successfully passed the exam to become certified as an International Instructor.
The International Technical Seminar followed on the Saturday and Sunday with more than 90 participants from 15 countries: Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Nepal, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, USA, and of course the UK.
Over the two days Grandmaster Hwang taught fundamental movements, all ITF patterns from Chon Ji through to Tong Il, and Taekwon-Do system of sparring. Both Miss Natalie and Miss Danielle were privileged to be invited to demonstrate for Grandmaster Hwang with Miss Natalie performing a technical Yoo Sin (3rd degree pattern) and Miss Danielle Yong Gae (4th degree pattern).
At the end of the course Miss Natalie presented for testing in front of Grandmaster Hwang and British Taekwon-Do Federation President Grandmaster Wayne Brown alongside candidates from the Netherlands and Cyprus. After demonstrating patterns, matsogi (sparring), tando matsogi (knife sparring) and breaking, she was successfully awarded her 4th dan blackbelt.
