Nuneaton TKD out in force at the BTC Championships
On the 22nd September a small delegation from Nuneaton Taekwon-Do travelled to Worcester for the BTC Championships. This was an open tournament for all ITF style groups in the UK and had in excess of 750 competitors from yellow belt through to blackbelt.
The standard was very high with a number of International competitors in the blackbelt divisions.
Final medals:
- Beth Frisby 🥇Gold in the Cadet Girls Patterns and 🥉 Bronze in the Cadet Girls Heavyweight Sparring
- Ella Barnes 🥉 Bronze in the Cadet Girls Lightweight Sparring
- Danielle Williams 🥇 Gold Adult Female Power and 🥉 Bronze in the Adult Female Heavyweight Sparring
- Violetta Harlow 🥉 Bronze in the Executive Ladies Heavyweight Sparring
Well done also to Libby Cashmore who won her first sparring match match - punching drills in class paying off - but unfortunately losing her second bout.
George Wright also sparring well in his first tournament as a blackbelt with a tough opponent from UKITF who later went on to win the gold.
Tough spars also for Natalie Williams getting unlucky drawing the 7x World Champion from the TAGB in her first round in Sparring.
Another successful day on the mats.

Our team achieved fantastic results at the UKTA English Open, earning 11th place overall with 4 Golds in Patterns and outstanding performances all round.
Nuneaton Taekwon‑Do students impressed at the GTI English Open in Hinckley, earning multiple medals and showcasing strong martial arts talent and teamwork.
EmpowHER returns on Wednesday 4th March with a refreshed 8-week ladies-only martial arts–inspired fitness course at Nuneaton Taekwon-Do, including a free pair of boxing gloves for all participants.
Nuneaton TKD instructors attended the ITF Umpire Course in Dublinto gain the latest updates on ITF tournament rules. Continued umpire education ensures our black belts uphold excellence, fairness, and professionalism at every level of Taekwon‑Do.
Congratulations to the those students that successfully graded on Sunday 30th November 2025 at the Dojang. An excellent standard, especially from our youngest students!
Nuneaton Taekwon-Do competitors excelled at the 2025 Birmingham Open in Nechells, topping the medal table with 9 gold, 12 silver and 4 bronze medals across Patterns, Sparring and Dragon's Tail events.
