Nuneaton TKD receives £500 to purchase new equipment

Children hold up focus mitts

Thanks to sponsorship from BROSE UK, Nuneaton TKD have been able to purchase new kickshields and focus mitts for the club

We are excited to announce that Nuneaton Taekwon-Do has been selected as one of 6 local sports teams to receive sponsorship from Coventry based company Brose!

Opened in 1992, Brose UK manufacture window regulators and seat systems for the automotive industry including Jaguar Land Rover.

Club Instructors Miss Danielle Williams IV, Mr Ian Frisby I and assistant Miss Beth Frisby II were invited to visit Brose on Saturday 14th December to be presented with a cheque by Brose MD Steve Wilkins. Mr Wilkins then invited the sponsored teams to tour the state of the art factory on Colliery Lane.

Brose's sponsorship enabled us to purchase additional equipment (kickshields and focus pads) ensuring our students receive the best training possible.

Thank you to Felix's mum Ewa who nominated us for this award.

Sponsorship opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for local companies to connect with us to help support our athletes.

Despite being a relatively new school, Nuneaton Taekwon-Do has been extremely successful in competition both Nationally and Internationally.  In 2019 we finished 3rd on the medal table at the BTF British Championships and our ITF England National Squad members secured European and World podium finishes.

Alongside competition success comes extensive UK and International travel.  Unlike other sports, all of our competitors are self-funded with even England National Squad members spending between £1000 and £1500 to attend a tournament. Our England squad members have all been working extremely hard, travelling down to National Squad training in Swindon every other weekend to take part in 4 hour training sessions and attending as many National tournaments as possible.

Nuneaton TKD would like to connect with local businesses who would be interested in helping to support our athletes, both at grassroots level and on elite level. If you know of anyone who would be interested in this opportunity, please let us know!
