ITF Umpire Course in Dublin
Our instructors attended the ITF Umpire Course in Dublin, conducted by Grand Master Gary Miller IX

Over the weekend of 6th to 8th February, Miss Danielle Williams, Miss Violetta Harlow, and Miss Natalie Williams travelled to Dublin, Ireland to attend the International Taekwon‑Do Federation (ITF) Umpire Course conducted by Grand Master Gary Miller IX. Organised by Master Floyd Keane and the Republic of Ireland Taekwon‑Do Association, the course delivered essential updates on current ITF rules and procedures.
For every black belt, education in Taekwon‑Do does not end with promotion. Umpire training forms a vital part of continued professional development, enhancing not only technical knowledge but also through exposure to new competition and training methods. Ongoing training such as this, ensures our instructors remain well‑equipped to uphold high standards within both class and competition environments.
The course offered participants detailed instruction on the latest revisions to ITF competition rules, ensuring that all attendees remain aligned with both national and international expectations. In addition to theoretical study, instructors received practical training in the use of modern computerised scoring and ring management systems now implemented at major championships.
Thank you to Grand Master Miller, Master Floyd Keane and the Republic of Ireland Taekwon‑Do for organising a highly informative and professional weekend.
