Nuneaton Taekwon-Do Instructors visit ITF Headquarters in Vienna

IIC and ITS in Vienna, 22nd to 23rd September 2018

On the 20th September, Nuneaton Taekwon-Do instructors Miss D Williams IV and Miss N Williams III travelled to Vienna with fellow members of the BTF, including Grandmaster Brown and Master Kessler, for the International Instructor's Course. The course was led by Grandmaster Hwang Ho Yong IX, ITF Senior Vice-President, Chairman of ITF Technical & Education Committee, and consisted of Taekwon-Do theory and practical training.

Participants were from across Europe and the USA, with ITF members in attendance from the UK, Belgium, Cyprus, Czechia and Slovenia.

On Friday 21st, Miss D Williams attended ITF Headquarters, (where General Choi Hong Hi had his office) and after a day of theoretical training, successfully retested for International Instructor status in front of Grandmaster Hwang.

Saturday and Sunday consisted of practical training covering all of the patterns from Chon Ji to Tong Il, step-sparring and correct training procedures. Pictured below Miss D Williams demonstrating Ul Ji tul for Grandmaster Hwang.

The course concluded with blackbelt dan examinations with students from Czechia, USA and the UK all successfully testing.
