Miss Danielle Williams is the 2025 Power Breaking World Champion

2025 ITF World Championships Power Podium

Nuneaton Taekwon‑Do instructor Miss Danielle Williams V Dan, represented ITF England at the XXIII ITF Taekwon‑Do World Championships held in Jesolo, Italy, from 3rd to 13th October 2025. The event brought together more than 1,200 competitors from around the world for six days of competition in Patterns, Sparring, Special Technique, and Power Breaking.

Miss Williams took on a dual role at the championships, serving both as a coach for the ITF England National Team and as a competitor in the Senior 35‑44 category. The team comprised nineteen athletes from leading Taekwon‑Do schools across England, each selected to represent their country at the highest level.

In the V Dan Patterns event, Miss Williams progressed to the semi‑finals where she faced Russian athlete Ekaterina Maslova, competing as an individual neutral participant. Athletes in this discipline perform two set Patterns demonstrating accuracy, rhythm, and technical execution. The chosen Patterns were Se‑Jong (5th Dan) and Yoo‑Sin (3rd Dan). Following two closely contested rounds, Maslova advanced to the final and went on to secure the World Championship title.

In the Power Breaking event, Miss Williams produced a dominant performance to take Gold and earn the title of World Champion. Facing twelve international competitors, she qualified successfully on her first attempt by breaking all boards with a knife‑hand strike, before increasing her score with the side kick and turning kick techniques. Her total points were more than any other competitor could manage and so she secured the top position on the podium and title of World Champion.

ITF England teammate Miss Reah Watts also performed strongly, taking Silver after a close sudden‑death round against Delgertsetseg Tsogoo of Mongolia.

At the conclusion of the tournament, ITF England placed 11th overall with a team total of 4 Gold, 3 Silver, and 9 Bronze medals, a commendable result among the world’s strongest Taekwon‑Do nations including Korea, Greece, and Argentina.

Preparations are already underway for the 2026 EITF European Championships in Crete and the 2027 ITF World Championships in China.
