Important information regarding sparring equipment

So you want to start sparring?  You're going to need some sparring equipment!

Sparring practice is an important part of Taekwon-Do training as it teaches students to use their techniques under pressure and tests whether they understand timing, distance and angles.

In order to spar in class, students need to own appropriate safety gear for their own and other students' safety.  Sparring is not compulsory but is required if students wish to test from green belt (6th kup) and above.

We recommend students purchase either Bytomic or Top Ten brands as we have tested these extensively over the years and find them to offer good quality equipment that lasts.

Nuneaton Taekwon-Do are able to supply students with equipment at a competitive rate as we can take advantage of bulk rates with suppliers.  Check out our Online Shop to order.

Equipment must be in red or blue only and any equipment not purchased via the club must be signed off by an instructor that it meets our minimum safety standards.
