Congratulations to Charlie and Mr Dimitrov who competed at the BTC Championships

On Sunday 9th June, Mr Detelin Dimitrov and 7th Gup Charlie travelled to Worcester University to compete in the BTC Championships.  The BTC Championships is an all-style Taekwon-Do event and competitors from the BTF, UKTA and TAGB and others come together to compete in Patterns, Sparring and Power Breaking.

Mr Dimitrov stepped onto the mat in the Executive (Veteran) Blackbelt Patterns division against Blackbelt competitors from 1st through to 6th Dan. A great performance but a very large category against many experienced competitors meant no medal this time.

This competition was the first time onto the mat for Charlie who did exceptionally well in his debut.  Charlie fought well in the Junior Yellow belt Heavyweight Sparring coming away with a Silver medal.  A promising start to his Taekwon-Do competition career!

Thank you to Mr Dimitrov for coating Charlie in his first tournament whilst Miss Danielle and Miss Natalie were occupied with umpiring.
