Learn a Korean Martial Art
Our school teaches Taekwon-Do which is a traditional Martial Art from Korea known for its high kicking, fast paced action.
We practice ITF style Taekwon-Do which was developed in the 1940’s and 50’s for the Korean military. Taekwon-Do is now the most popular Martial Art in the world and has been part of the Olympics since 1988.
Combining scientific principles with historical Korean Martial Arts, Taekwon-Do is primarily a striking style but also incorporates some joint manipulation and fundamental throwing techniques.
In a typical class students can expect to cover:
- Fundamental movements
- Patterns
- Sparring
- Self Defence,
- Power (board breaking)
In addition to this every class includes flexibility, fitness and conditioning training.
