Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 5 Year Anniversary & Awards Night on Friday 10th November. It was great to see everyone all dressed up and out of their doboks.
Since our first class on Monday 3rd September 2018, we've taught over 1500 hours of classes and have been lucky enough to see over 150 students take part in our classes.
Thank you to all those students and their families who have supported the club over the last 5 years. It's been fantastic seeing how much everyone has grown and all of their achievements.
In the past 5 years we've hosted 11 Colour belt gradings and 4 National Blackbelt gradings. We've also taken part in over 20 National tournaments bringing home 55 Gold, 61 Silver and 75 Bronze, not to mention our International success with our competitors claiming 1 European Silver, 7 European Bronze and 1 World Bronze.
We hope you had a nice evening celebrating the end of the year with us and all of those students who have made the last 5 years special.
Thank you also to those who worked hard behind the scenes to help make it possible, especially Petrina Michelle Lancaster and Emma Holmes for the amazing cakes.
Every year we celebrate the members who have worked hard and have demonstrated the tenets throughout the year.
Leah has worked hard throughout the year, progressing through to 1st kup and now one step away from Blackbelt. She has obtained consistently high marks in her gradings, and challenged herself to compete at this years BTF UK Championships where she also stepped up to help umpire too.
Dayyan has impressed us all year round with his great attitude to training and hardwork. He is a pleasure to teach and has a bright future ahead of him in Taekwon-Do.
Alayna is one of our hardest working students and always approaches her Taekwon-Do with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
Sophie has come on leaps and bounds this year and has made great improvements in all areas of her Taekwon-Do. Congratulations Sophie!
George has really impressed us this year having taken part in nearly every tournament the club entered. Most of all he impressed us with his team spirit and positive attitude during the UK Children's Games in Swindon.
Alongside our regular awards we also had some special awards to celebrate those students who have made the last 5 years extra special.
